Data Theory in the World Seminar: Why is it important to be a data-driven organization?

Abstract

What sorts of organizations will students face when they graduate? How should students prepare themselves? This is the first of a three-panel series that addresses different aspects of data-driven organizations and how to prepare to be part of them. This event provided an opportunity for students to hear from leading data scientists on this topic.
The students were asked to provide questions before the event and a selection of the questions were answered during the event, followed by interaction and discussion. I was the faculty organizer of the event.
